Sisterhood Award :)

Yay! I got another award from Mel over at A box of chocolates

Thank you so much Mel :)

The blogosphere does feel a bit like a big sisterhood don't you think? I would like to pass it on to some BLBEers:

Fabulous New Body
Bulge to Bump

Week 12 - 2.2lb loss!!!!

Yeah!! I did it!!!
What worked for me this week? Well, I got myself this great little tool that Marie the Mouse blogged about a few weeks ago... I find that I don't have as consistent an internet access as I would like these days, and that makes tracking a bit difficult. I end up trying to remember everything in my head until I get access, and obviously, most of the time I'm wrong in the number of points I was really left with...
Also, I took some time every night to plan the next day, write down what I was going to eat in my little journal ahead of time. Somehow the fact that it's already written down and planned made me want to stick to it more?!
I realized that my afternoon snacking was a bit out of control as well. It all has to do with work and how unhappy I am at my work right now - eating seemed to make it more fun (?!?) Just putting my finger on the reason why I feel like snacking so much kind of helped. I only have an apple as a snack at some point in the afternoon and really, that's all I need... I rarely feel hungry until it's time for dinner.
I am working on the 'work' situation, and trying to find a solution. Hopefully that gets resolved soon.
We also worked on the house this Saturday. A project we wanted to work on for a long time. There is an ugly parking pad on the front of the house (parking is behind the house but the previous owner didn't like to have to shovel snow all the way to the back, so she created a parking pad on the front lawn) We want to remove it and add soil and grass instead. Eventually replace the walkway and steps to the house as well to make it nice and clean and pretty :) Well, we spent our Saturday breaking and removing asphalt. Challenging but fun. That's about it for now...

my BMI is normal again :)

Week 8 - 9 - 10 - 11!

Oy! Have I been letting my blog go?!! I've been having a rough time recently, and to be honest, I've been pretty negative about it... I did some thinking this weekend away from the computer, and that helped a lot. I thought about weight loss but also about my budget and my work in general. As in, could we afford it if I quit my job, what other options I have work wise... S was very helpful - he always is - and that took a big weight off my shoulders (even if that means it might bring some temporary chaos in my career...) We plan to have a wedding in October, and then maybe start a family and, well, I've been forgetting about that. I need to remember to focus on the positive, I need to change my perspective... all that to say - things are looking a bit better, the work is in progress :)

On the weight loss front, I've been all over the place. I am putting it out there - I updated my side bar with the results for every single week of the challenge, ugly or not :) I have gained 0.4 pounds. I have let Team Lean and myself down. No more of that. I have a plan. I will take the time, every evening, to plan my meals and 'pre-track' my meals for the next day. Yes, only one day at a time - baby steps... I also have scheduled my week's exercise. I have working out appointments! I want to follow and complete the c25k program like Mel - she is so inpiring!!

I used to get motivation simply by updating my ticker - but I stopped doing that... I'm starting again... I want progression, I want results, I want to be healthy.

My wedding will be in October. Now that's a good thing to look forward to. I want to save enough money by then. I want to be healthy and at goal by then (Ideally much before then as I don't want to be last minute to pick a dress:). I can do it!! YEAH!

Tough times...

I don't know what I'm doing anymore - I dropped the ball and forgot to email Lynn for last week's weigh in :( insert but kicking here please

This Monday I weighed in at 150.0 yup. I'm not moving from the 150s yet. so frustrating. But it's also not surprising because I am not giving 100% to the challenge. Work is just draining me. I spend every minute of the day trying to catch up but always end up with more work on my plate at the end of the day. I hardly even get up to go pee!! I come home and think about work, I have bad dreams about work... The height of my day is lunch time, when I have to get up for 5 minutes to go to the microwave and heat up my food, then get right back into some more work while I eat... This is fairly typical of the start of a season, but this time I am not motivated. I am not inspired by the show much. I need to work on something that I ultimately feel proud of, something that entertains me, even if the target audience is 3-5 year olds. This show... Let's just say I don't really want my name in the credits... I know that's a lot of work talk, my appologies. But that's all I can think of right now.

Anyways... you know what's the most annoying about the job thing? Because of scheduling and how late they got back to me about taking some time off, I haven't been able to pick dates for my wedding (we originally wanted to do it in april, pfff) Now it's going to have to be in October most likely... I just have no energy (and no money) to plan it - how depressing is that?! Ugh

Sorry for being so whine-y tonight - just had to get it off my chest!

On the weight loss front - this weekend was the first sunny weekend in a long time and I had so much more energy because of it! I did my 1st day of week 4 of c25k! We went for a nice walk in the neighborhood... Yup! I ate well-ish. Better than the past month's worth of weekends for sure!

I want to keep up with that, I want to exercise more, make more food... I want to be healthy and happy... let's work on that...

Hope you are all having an awesome time! :)

Have a great day!! :)

edit - the games are played in different parks and schools close to downtown... I'll let you know exactly where if you are interested...
